Office Manager Who Admitted to Embezzling Loses Sentence Appeal

A woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $1.5 million from her employer lost an appeal challenging a 63-month prison sentence, after the Seventh Circuit said Monday she had adequate opportunities to object.

Paula Hise claimed that she wasn’t provided an opportunity to challenge a revised Presentence Investigation Report, but she failed to point to any aspect of it that could have been subject to an objection.
