Mark Csantaveri has been charged in connection with a scheme to provide false debt relief services to small businesses, the Justice Department said Wednesday.
Csantaveri and his conspirators allegedly convinced more than 50 victims to make payments to one of his businesses by falsely claiming he would hold their money while negotiating favorable settlements with their creditors, but he instead misappropriated the money for personal use, according to the DOJ. His scheme allegedly defrauded small businesses of more than $3.4 million dollars.
