Jermaine Rose, a former lead claims examiner for the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency, has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for his role in a $1.5 million unemployment insurance fraud scheme, the Department of Justice announced Thursday.
Rose pleaded guilty April 22 to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a scheme to fraudulently obtain pandemic unemployment insurance benefits for his co-conspirators, according to the department.
