Casie Hynes has pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of false claims in connection with a scheme to obtain Covid-19 government loans and tax credits, the Justice Department said Thursday.
Hynes submitted more than 80 fraudulent applications for Paycheck Protection Program loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans to banks and the US Small Business Administration, according to the DOJ.
She admitted to intending to cause almost $3.2 million in losses and receiving around $2.55 million in fraudulent proceeds, the DOJ said.
