Five University of Kentucky football players who said they were racially taunted and physically attacked at a fraternity party can’t pursue their lawsuit against police officials who initiated burglary criminal charges against them.
The quintet’s federal claims were properly dismissed because the players didn’t plead they were deprived of their liberty, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said Oct. 10.
