Intuitive Surgical Reports Hack, Says Products Are Secure (1)

Intuitive Surgical Inc., a US company that makes surgery tools and systems, said it was the victim of a cybersecurity incident, soon after another medical technology company was hit.

“Information from certain internal IT business applications was accessed by an unauthorized third party as the result of a targeted cybersecurity phishing incident,” the company said in a statement posted on its website Thursday. “We are providing this web update to be transparent about this issue beyond any required notifications.”
