A retired US Air Force major has been arrested over accusations that he trained Chinese military pilots, the Justice Department said on Wednesday.
Gerald Eddie Brown Jr., who had been an F-35 pilot and instructor and led combat missions, was taken into custody in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on a criminal complaint for “providing and conspiring to provide defense services to Chinese military pilots without authorization,” the department said in a statement.
Brown, according to the complaint, went to China in December 2023 and returned to the US this month.
