The former general manager of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Harlan Kelly Jr., has been found guilty of accepting bribes in exchange for helping a city contractor gain an unfair advantage when bidding for city business.
The jury returned guilty verdicts on one count of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud and one count of honest services wire fraud in connection with the bribery scheme. It acquitted Kelly, however, on two additional wire fraud counts.
