A former Nasdaq Stockholm employee was sentenced to one year in prison Friday by a Stockholm court, according to a statement.
- The former employee was sentenced for gross insider trading in three instances, while being acquitted in four instances
- The sentenced man had obtained information regarding upcoming acquisition offers through his Nasdaq employment, with two others close to him buying shares in these companies prior to the information becoming public
- Two other people were also sentenced, while a fourth was acquitted
