Former Madoff Aide Lipkin Pleads Guilty to Fraud Charges

Irwin Lipkin, the former controller of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, pleaded guilty Nov. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to conspiracy, false statements, and other charges, prosecutors announced (United States v. Lipkin).

In a release, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said Lipkin faces up to 10 years in prison and substantial money penalties.
