FBI Director Kash Patel’s first appearance before the House Judiciary Committee quickly broke down along partisan lines as he defended his actions in the Charlie Kirk murder probe while Democrats accused him of concealing files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a series of contentious exchanges on Wednesday, Patel rejected accusations that he is withholding videos, photographs and witness interviews tied to Epstein, saying some material is barred from public view by court orders.
