The former girlfriend of a California cryptocurrency fraudster known as “The Godfather” agreed to plead guilty to a federal criminal tax charge for failing to report over $2.6 million in ill-gotten gains obtained through her then-boyfriend’s criminal activities, the Justice Department announced Tuesday.
According to the DOJ, Iris Ramaya Au’s former boyfriend Adam Iza fraudulently obtained access to advertising accounts and lines of credit provided by Facebook and Meta and sold access to those accounts. Iza obtained millions of dollars of unreported income as a result of these schemes.
