Ex-EarthWater Executives, Salesperson Plead Guilty to Conspiracy

Harley Barnes III, former chief financial officer of Dallas-based EarthWater Limited, pleaded guilty to a total of 22 conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering charges for a multimillion-dollar, high-yield investment fraud scheme targeting elderly victims, according to the Department of Justice Tuesday.

Barnes conspired to and obtained investor funds through a scheme to defraud with Joe Edward Duchinsky, an EarthWater stock salesperson who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, according to the Justice Department.
