A former employee of Chase Bank in Chicago failed to convince the Seventh Circuit on Tuesday to reconsider her 151-month sentence for robbing her former branch, with the appeals court saying that “ample evidence” supported the finding that she used a real firearm in the robbery.
In November 2017, Latasha Gamble robbed the branch where she previously worked while two employees were on duty. Gamble came into the bank wearing a disguise, waited for some customers to exit, and then pulled out a gun and forced the two workers, Kelly Green and Lesley Rendon, to open the vault.
