Ex-CEO of Fiesta Bowl Pleads Guilty To Federal Campaign Finance Charge

PHOENIX — Former Fiesta Bowl Chief Executive John Junker pleaded guilty March 13 in U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona to one felony conspiracy count in connection with his role in an illegal campaign-finance scheme U.S. v. Junker.

Sentencing in the case is scheduled for sometime in May, Junker’s attorney, Stephen Dichter, told Bloomberg BNA March 14. Junker could face up to 2.5 years in prison.

This is the second guilty plea to be entered by the former Fiesta Bowl CEO in less than a month.
