DOJ Seeks All Evidence From Jan. 6 Panel for Trump Probe (1)

The Justice Department wants all evidence collected by a House committee investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 election as a new special counsel begins assessing whether former President Donald Trump should be charged with federal crimes.

“We would like to have all the transcripts and all the other evidence collected by the committee so that we can use it in the ordinary course of our investigations,” Attorney General Merrick Garland told reporters Wednesday in Washington. “We are asking for access to all of the transcripts.”
