DOJ Launching Program to Offer Payouts for Antitrust Tips (1)

The Justice Department is starting a whistleblower rewards program that offers financial incentives to tipsters who come forward with information on antitrust violations such as price-fixing and criminal conspiracy.

The DOJ on Tuesday announced the program, which will be overseen by the criminal section of the antitrust division.

The program mirrors one unveiled in August inside the department’s criminal division and comes as Trump administration leaders have pushed to offer clearer incentives for corporations and individuals to come forward with evidence of wrongdoing.
