Jordan Ford was sentenced to more than 13 years in federal prison and ordered to pay more than $4.4 million in restitution for his participation in an insurance fraud scheme, the Justice Department announced Thursday.
According to the DOJ, Ford and his co-conspirators recruited insurance company employees to pull clients’ personal information from legitimate insurance claims. Using the stolen information, Ford—posing as the client—called the insurance companies and requested they update the payment information to accounts he and his co-conspirators controlled.
