Cuomo Lifts Gathering Restrictions Across New York State

Governor Andrew Cuomo lifted restrictions in most hot spots across New York state, declaring an end to the post-holiday surge in Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations.

Indoor dining at New York City restaurants remains shut. The governor said he will be speaking with local officials and announce a plan by the end of the week for potentially easing that restriction.

The limit on capacity would likely be 25%, Cuomo said Wednesday. “How and when do you do that?” he said.
