Companies’ Disputed Work Rules to Get Fresh Review by NLRB Judges

Securitas Security Services USA, AmeriFirst Financial Inc., and more than 10 other companies will have their workplace rules reconsidered under the National Labor Relations Board’s new, more employer-friendly legal framework.

The NLRB has sent cases involving employee handbooks and other work rules back down the chain over the past four weeks to the agency’s administrative law judges and regional directors. Dozens more could follow.

And companies should pay attention, as those cases will help flesh out the board’s standard for workplace rules from a December 2017 decision. That case challenged The Boeing Co.’s restrictions on cameras at a plant ...
