CNN Broadcasting Inc. won dismissal of defamation claims by the Trump campaign related to an article discussing the prospect for Russian election interference, after the Northern District of Georgia Thursday found the campaign didn’t adequately allege that CNN acted with malice.
The campaign filed the libel action after CNN contributor Larry Noble published an article on June 13, 2019, with the title “Soliciting dirt on your opponents from a foreign government is a crime. Mueller should have charged Trump campaign officials with it.”
