Child Porn Convict Loses Bid for Community College Computer Use

Restricting the internet and computer access of a man convicted of child pornography was reasonable despite his claim he needed it for educational reasons, the Eighth Circuit ruled.

William Trimble Jr. sought to modify a condition of his supervised release that prohibits him from using a computer without a probation officer’s approval, the court said. He claimed “the condition deprived him of an education because he needed access to a computer and the internet to enroll at a local community college.”
