Capitol ‘Caveman’ Sentenced to 8 Months Over Jan. 6 Attack (1)

A New Yorker who dressed as a caveman while breaching the U.S. Capitol was sentenced to eight months in prison on charges of civil disorder and theft of government property.

Aaron Mostofsky, 35, was sentenced Friday in federal court in Washington. He pleaded guilty in February to stealing a Capitol Police riot shield and armored vest and joining a mob of Donald Trump supporters who stormed the building on Jan. 6, 2021, to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election as president.
