Pam Bondi moved quickly to reshape the Justice Department on her first day on the job, taking over the sprawling agency central to the administration’s efforts on antitrust, immigration and policing white-collar crime.

Bondi, 59, was sworn in as attorney general in a White House ceremony Wednesday and began issuing new directives as part of the department’s overhaul in personnel and mission.
