Bannon to Surrender on ‘Wall’ Charges in NY After Pardon (2)

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon will surrender Thursday in New York to face state criminal charges that he defrauded contributors to a fund to build a wall on the US-Mexico border, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The charges relate to Bannon’s involvement in “We Build the Wall,” which funded about five miles (eight kilometers) of border fencing in two locations in Texas and New Mexico, according to the person, who declined to be identified discussing the case before it becomes public.
