Agent Who Stole From Saints Player Denied Restitution Offset

A sports agent who pleaded guilty to stealing more than half a million dollars in life insurance proceeds meant for Frank W. Warren III’s family trust lost his bid to reduce an ongoing restitution obligation.

Although the family of the former New Orleans Saints player recovered $300,000 from insurance companies in a pair of related civil settlements, the former agent, Benjamin M. Geller, isn’t entitled to any offset on the restitution he’s obligated to pay, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana said.
