Youthful Offender’s Mandatory Life Sentence Reduced to 30 Years

A defendant convicted of murder in aid of racketeering after carrying out a hit for his gang boss had his mandatory life sentence reduced to 30 years by a federal district judge in New York.

Andrew Ramsay was a youthful offender when he was convicted for the 1992 murders that were part of an attempt to kill a rival gang leader.
