Yolo Technologies Inc. must face misrepresentation claims by the plaintiffs who were cyberbullied using the company’s anonymous app, a federal court said.
The plaintiffs, who included the estate of a teenager who committed suicide using the app, three other app users, and a nonprofit group that fights bullying, adequately alleged that Yolo made false representations, Judge Fred W. Slaughter said Friday for the US District Court for the Central District of California.
