A woman who aimed to gain access to the White House, but mistakenly ran up the steps of the U.S. Treasury building next door, failed to shake off her conviction for attempting to enter the White House or its grounds.
Although the charging document alleged defendant Samira Jabr entered areas beyond the White House or its grounds, which would not violate the statute, that didn’t deprive the federal trial court of jurisdiction, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said Friday.
