Woman Loses Appeal to Recover Father’s Forfeited Assets

A woman whose father ran a predatory payday lending operation won’t be able to recover assets her father forfeited during a criminal case, the Third Circuit decided Wednesday.

To recover the forfeited property, Linda Hallinan needed to show that she was a good-faith purchaser for value or that her interest was superior to the government’s.
