Whistleblower Suit Revived Against Nevada Health Officials (1)

A human resources supervisor who alleges she was fired from her job at a medical practice in retaliation for whistleblowing about unsafe practices may pursue claims against Nevada state officials for opening her to more retaliation and burying an investigation, the Ninth Circuit ruled.

The appeals court revived some of Helen Armstrong’s claims against four Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials and said she could replead another.

Armstrong alleges she worked at Ear Nose and Throat Associates for 23 years without any write-ups or co-worker complaints, according to the court. Then in 2014, she and a co-worker filed whistleblower ...
