In its June 27 ruling in the legal fight over President Donald Trump’s January executive order restricting birthright citizenship in the US, the Supreme Court didn’t weigh in on which side was right. But it did say that three federal judges were wrong to impose universal injunctions halting implementation of the order nationwide while underlying issues were being decided by the courts. The Trump administration now wants judges to revisit dozens of other wide-ranging, court-ordered suspensions of its policies while lawsuits challenging them move forward.
