Wells Fargo Escapes Claim It Served Drunk Employee More Alcohol

Wells Fargo Bank N.A. isn’t liable to the estate of a driver killed by a bank employee who was driving drunk, the Eleventh Circuit said Friday.

The estate of Derrick Hambrick and his administrator in her individual capacity sued Wells Fargo under Georgia’s dram shop law, arguing that it served Maurice Watson too much alcohol at a bank function right before the collision that killed Hambrick.
