Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC once again beat most claims in a class action alleging the automaker sold sport-utility vehicles with faulty turbochargers, but plaintiffs will have another chance to rework their complaint.
The named plaintiffs, many of whom bought their cars used, said that JLRNA knew or should have known that the turbochargers in the specified Land Rovers were subject to overheating and catastrophic failure. They also said that the cars came with JLRNA’s four-year, 50,000 mile warranty, the federal emissions control warranty that JLRNA recognized for four years, and California’s seven-year, 70,000 mile emissions control warranty.
