President Joe Biden nominated Myrna Pérez, director of voting rights at the Brennan Center for Justice, to the New York-based federal appeals court, the White House said Tuesday in announcing a new slate of judicial picks.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit—which encompasses New York, Connecticut and Vermont— is a chief venue for cases involving corporations and Wall Street.
