Virgin Galactic Beats Some Claims in Covid Religious Bias Suit

Subsidiaries of Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc. trimmed a lawsuit brought by a group of former employees who claim they were denied religious accommodations in 2021 from the company’s Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

The plaintiffs failed to file state charges in time with California’s Civil Rights Department, Magistrate Judge Christopher D. Baker said, partially granting the company summary judgment. But the workers presented sufficient evidence to raise a triable issue on their federal claims as to whether Galactic engaged in intentional discrimination by “engaging in ostensibly blanket denials of their exemption requests while failing to consider in good faith” their individual circumstances, ...
