Villanova University’s plan to construct a 65-foot removable dome for its soccer field can’t proceed because the structure would violate zoning law, a Pennsylvania appeals court said.
The Radnor Township ordinance provides that "[n]o building or structure shall exceed three stories or 38 feet in height,” the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court said.
The court rejected the school’s argument that the use of “or” between “three stories” and “38 feet in height” means the dome may exceed 38 feet in height, so long at it is less than three stories.
