A new Utah law aimed at limiting minors’ access minors to Internet pornography allegedly violates the Constitution and should be thrown out, an advocacy group for the adult-entertainment industry said in a new federal lawsuit.
At issue is SB 287, a bill passed unanimously by the Utah Legislature in 2023 that requires website operators to take “reasonable measures” to ensure that users are 18 or older before providing them with content that could be harmful to minors.
