An Idaho law that makes it a felony for a doctor to end a pregnancy unless it’s “necessary” to prevent a patient’s death should stay blocked, the US said.
US Solicitor General Elizabeth B. Prelogar asked the US Supreme Court on Thursday to deny Idaho and a lawmakers’ request to lift an injunction that’s currently preventing the state from enforcing the statute to the extent that it conflicts with a federal emergency care law.
