Sotomayor Halts LGBTQ Club Recognition at Yeshiva University (1)

The US Supreme Court agreed to temporarily halt the establishment of a pride student group at Yeshiva University, siding with the school which said requiring it to admit the organization would conflict with its Jewish principles.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Friday paused a New York trial court ruling that ordered YU Pride Alliance be granted “the full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, and privileges afforded to all other student groups at Yeshiva University.”
