Texas doesn’t have to immediately remove a floating barrier in the Rio Grande installed to help prevent illegal crossings from Mexico, a federal appeals court ruled.
A three-judge panel on Thursday temporarily blocked a lower-court decision requiring Texas to remove the controversial barriers in response to a lawsuit by the Biden administration. The administrative stay by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals keeps the case on hold pending further review.
