UpCounsel CEO Sued by LegalForce Founders Over LinkedIn Deal

UpCounsel Inc., a venture-backed legal services matchmaker that’s been touted as a driver of the profession’s “Uberization,” was sued Monday in Delaware by the founders of Silicon Valley law firm LegalForce RAPC Worldwide, who claim UpCounsel’s leaders took key assets to LinkedIn before selling it for a “small fraction of its value.”

The Chancery Court complaint was filed by a trust representing LegalForce founders Raj and Sonal Abhyanker, who became significant UpCounsel investors when the tech company paid in shares to settle their previous unfair trade practices lawsuit.
