University of Kentucky Sees Non-Student’s Assault Claims Revived

The University of Kentucky must face allegations of deliberate indifference to an alleged sexual assault by a student against a woman not enrolled at the school after the Sixth Circuit said she may have had enough of a connection for liability under federal law.

Jane Doe, who didn’t attend Kentucky but went to an affiliated community college and lived on campus, may proceed with her Title IX claim, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said.
