United Airlines Beats Ex-Worker’s Disability Discrimination Case

United Airlines Inc. defeated a former employee’s claims that it discriminated against her because of her cystic fibrosis, as a federal judge dismissed the case with prejudice.

The customer service worker’s allegations didn’t provide “any plausible indication” that allowing the case to move forward to the discovery stage “would reveal any evidence of a prima facie case under” state antidiscrimination law, the US District Court for the District of New Jersey said in a Thursday unpublished opinion.
