United Air Flight Attendants Reject Higher-Paying Contract (1)

United Airlines Holdings Inc. flight attendants rejected a new contract that would have provided cumulative pay increases of as much as 45.6% over five years.

The tentative agreement, which also included a separate payout for years in which the workers received no raises, was voted down by 71% of those casting ballots, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA said in a statement Tuesday. The union represents 28,000 United employees.
