Two women who allege they were sexually assaulted by drivers have sued Uber Technologies, Inc. on behalf of a nationwide class of riders, described as all of the company’s “female consumers in the U.S.”
The passengers, referred to as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, have asked the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California for a declaration that Uber has violated California law, and for court orders forcing the company to change its hiring and supervision practices for drivers.
