Two U.S. Courts Report New Covid Cases as Infections Rise

Two federal courts in Illinois and Ohio reported new cases of coronavirus in their courthouses this week, as total cases in a single day hit a record high nationally.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio closed its Cincinnati courthouse on Thursday after a deputy U.S. marshal assigned to the building tested positive for the virus. The officer had symptoms starting Nov. 1 and had been in multiple areas of the courthouse the previous week, the court said.
