Georgia prosecutors proposed an Aug. 5, 2024, trial date for Donald Trump and others charged with engaging in a criminal racketeering enterprise to interfere with the 2020 presidential election.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Friday pitched the August timeline in light of trials already set for March 4 and May 20 in federal criminal cases against Trump in Washington and south Florida, respectively. But the Florida judge recently announced that she’d hold a hearing in March on whether to delay the May date, potentially complicating scheduling decisions in Georgia.
