President Donald Trump’s latest pick for the powerful D.C.-based federal appeals court on Wednesday defended past writings and comments critical of the Affordable Care Act, calling one instance legal analysis and the other a lighthearted remark.

Justin Walker was asked at his Senate confirmation hearing to explain his views on the 2012 Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, especially in light of the coronavirus health crisis continuing to unfold across the country.
