Trump Cuts Law Firm Pro Bono Deals as He Seeks Trade Help (1)

President Donald Trump announced new agreements with five leading law firms to provide free legal work to his administration, shortly after saying he would look to use outside lawyers to help negotiate coming trade deals.

Kirkland & Ellis, A&O Shearman, Simpson Thacher and Latham & Watkins agreed to each provide $125 million in legal work, according to a post on the president’s social media page. Separately, Trump announced a deal with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft that would provide at least of $100 million dollars in pro bono work.
